Family Medicine

General Practice

You are not cattle meant to be herded;
you are a person meant to be heard.

The Family Medicine staff for Little River Healthcare understands that statement better than anyone because we all know how it feels to get to muted out. That’s why we joined Little River Healthcare; because the philosophy here is to put patients first.
When you come to our office, we will listen to you. We will talk with you, not at you. We will fully understand your symptoms before we recommend a next step. But most of all, we’ll be your friend.
If you’re looking for a new primary care physician, browse the tabs to the left and schedule an appointment online at any of our locations in Georgetown, Temple, Groesbeck, Salado, Waco, Cameron, or Rockdale.

Family Medicine is essentially your go-to medical specialty. When you’re feeling sick, experienced an injury, or worried about any other non-emergency health issue, you go to your Family Medicine doctor, who may also be called things like Family Medicine Provider, Family Doctor, Family Physician, General Physician, General Practitioner, or Family Practitioner. All of those titles point to the same people: us. We are devoted to your complete, comprehensive health. We treat people of all ages. We also have lots of “friends”. It’s our referral network. For example, us Family Physicians will see children, but for many serious child healthcare, or for general immunizations, we will refer you to our local pediatrician. Or, if you’re an adult suffering from Osteoporosis and we’re worried about how far it has spread, we might refer you to the right Adult Medicine doctor to help with your care. This isn’t because we want to pass you off. Heavens no! It’s because we care too much about you to keep you to ourselves! We want to make sure you get the right care to help you fully recover from whatever ails you.
So when you need a doctor, come to us first. We’ll make sure you’re taken care of.

When a flu outbreak hits your neighborhood, our Family Medicine providers know about it first.
After all, we live near our offices. Our kids may be in the same schools as yours. We may even attend the same churches, shop at the same stores, or use the same auto mechanic. This means we face community healthcare outbreaks together, and are better prepared for what our community experiences. Whether a new flu strand or a swiftly-spreading lice outbreak, we know about it before you even catch it.

We treat you like a person.
You are not cattle meant to be herded. You are a person meant to be heard.
We never treat our patients like numbers; we aim to treat you like our friends. A visit to our office is a visit to your friend’s home, where you can feel comfortable knowing that we are on your side. We listen to your problems and work with you to reach a solution that fits your budget, your lifestyle, your needs, and your family’s needs.

We have access to services that OTHERS DON’T.
Little River Healthcare operates its own labs, imaging centers, and radiologists in Central Texas, which means you typically won’t have to wait months to get your results back.
Our local network of award-winning specialists ensures that you’ll be seen soon by the expert you need. Our local specialists have a working relationship with us, which means we work together for you, providing a connected, efficient level of care from beginning to end.
