ABOUT DR. WILDER-NEIGERT

Dr. Dorea Wilder Neigert received her Bachelor’s Degree from Chapman University in Orange, CA and her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Southern California University of Health Sciences in Whittier, CA.

Dr. Wilder has volunteered nearly 2 years to the development of chiropractic methods and provided analysis and chiropractic spinal adjustments to thousands in 3rd world countries including Bolivia (South America) and Ghana (West Africa). She practiced in Southern California before returning back to her home state of Texas to join us here in Austin.

Dr. Wilder Neigert is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP), certified full body provider for Active Release Technique (ART®), Certified in the McKenzie Method® of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy® (MDT), Certified in Functional Movement Systems (FMS), Designated Doctor for the Division of Worker’s Compensation (DWC) and certified in Trigger Point Performance.

She is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (ACBSP). She integrates methods including myofascial release, active release technique (ART®), McKenzie Methods®, physical therapy, chiropractic adjustments, trigger point therapy, Gua Sha, and functional movement screens to get the professional athlete or the athletic professional back into motion and functioning at their optimal level.

Dr. Wilder treats acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions including sports and repetitive stress injuries, neck and low back conditions, tendonitis, shoulder, elbow and hand conditions, hip, knee, and ankle conditions. She very rarely removes activity for injury but refocuses activities to create a more balanced and conditioned athlete.

“Pre-hab” is treating the nagging aches and strains with therapy before they turn into injuries that restrict activity. Avoid pain and stay in the game by training the most often-injured areas of the body. By a thorough dynamic Functional Movement Screen, she can help patients to avoid injury, avoid pain and stay in the game by specific training based on the patient’s current activities and imbalances.

When she’s not drinking green vegetable smoothies, you can find her running on the greenbelt with her dog, cycling, swimming, racing in half ironman triathlons, taking yoga classes or spending time with her husband, friends and family. She is also an elite age-grouper in Olympic distance triathlons, cycling instructor at the YMCA and a Coach for the Bowie High School Mountain Biking Team. You may schedule an appointment with Dr. Dorea Wilder Neigert at our Westgate location.
